This is a heads-up to let you know that we never ship plants from Thanksgiving (November 27 this year) through New Years (January 1). This is due to the combination of freezing cold weather at many destinations and transit points and the possibility of delays due to the holiday shipping rush. Now, it seems that Priority Mail is taking a week or more in transit! A heat pack is only good for 72 hours, so it will be cold well before the package arrives at its destination. Even if you are in Florida the package may be routed through a hub like Chicago or Denver, where very low temperatures can cause freezing of plants even with a heat pack. Better safe than sorry.
If you are on the West Coast at destinations not subject to dangerously cold weather, we may still ship to you. After looking at the weather forecast we will make the call.
If you are in any other part of the US you will need to wait until after January 1 for shipping, and then only if temperatures are safe. At that time, I hope Priority Mail will be back to the normal, 2-3 days in transit. If not, shipping may be delayed more than usual.
