Description

3″ pot. Southeast Asian species that stays fairly small. The name means “deer antler”, and the spikes truly do look like deer antlers, glowing wide and flat with notches where flowers have appeared. Flowers are fleshy and long-lasting, sometimes with a slight fragrance.  It is our experience that plants can bloom indefinitely from the same spike, which branches as it grows, becoming better each year. Our large alba plant, shown in the photo, bloomed continuously for over five years from a single spike, starting when it was still a seedling. Fun species to grow since it provides flowers year round. The plant we have for sale is the red variety, and will produce very dark red, solid burgundy color flowers. Blooming size plant.
