PREPARING FOR FALL SHIPPING

It may seem like summer now – I know it does here – but soon the temperatures will be dropping in the northern interior of the US (here’s looking at you, North Dakota, Nebraska and other such places!) . Fall is a good time to order plants to arrive before your temperatures become unsafe for shipping. “Unsafe” means any 10-day forecast with low temperatures below 26F. Because shipping and other costs continue to go up, we will probably add the cost of a heat pack to shipping rates everywhere except the West Coast once heat packs become obligatory, probably starting after New Year’s and continuing through at least the end of February.

I would also like to remind everyone that we do not ship plants between Thanksgiving and New Year’s due to potential delays due to the holiday rush. I may decide to put a few overabundant plants on sale during September and October, so watch for possible sales.
