Description
2” pot. This classic snow-white species is the national flower of Indonesia and the ancestor of many of today’s white and colored phal hybrids. Flowers are large, long-lasting, well-formed and flat. They are produced in late winter or early spring on long spikes. A mature plant can produce multiple spikes. It is originally native to northern Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and the Philippines, where it grows on trunks and branches of trees in the rainforest. Once they outgrow their small pots, they can be mounted, potted in bark, or allowed to continue growing in sphagnum moss, depending on your preferences. Phal amabilis can tolerate more light than many phals, making it a good candidate for bright areas. Young seedlings
