Also called Encyclia guatemalensis, this small to medium-sized species native to Central America blooms in spring or summer with a long, arching spike of multiple flowers that are bronze-purple in color with a white lip striped in red. They may be lightly fragrant. Nice species. Flowers will look similar to those of Encyclia alata, shown in photo. Mid-size seedlings.
