Description
2” pot. Hybrid between two terrestrial orchid species native to Southeast Asia, Anoectochilus chapensis and formosanus. Formosanus is a cute and compact plant, with bold and sparkling white veining pattern on velvety dark green leaves, and chapensis is a larger plant with more red-orange color in the veins. These plants are nice and full, not growing leggy even in low light. They bloom with spikes of small reddish flowers with a yellow-“feathered” white lip, but you really grow them for their beautiful foliage, not the flowers. They like it warm and humid with medium to low light, but should not be overwatered. Nice windowsill or terrarium plants.
