Description
Mounted on cork plaque. Miniature South American species native to Ecuador and Peru blooms in summer with an arching spike of many brilliantly colored flowers in shades of orange and red with huge bright orange or red lips. After blooming, the spike can produce more flowers, so should not be cut. This desirable species is not often offered for sale. Flowers will look similar to the closely related species in the photo, but with stripes on the petals and sepals and a broader, rounder, fuller lip. Young seedlings.
