Description

2″ or 2.5″ pot. Southeast Asian species that stays fairly small. The name means “deer antler”, and the spikes truly do look like deer antlers, glowing wide and flat with notches where flowers have appeared. Flowers are fleshy and long-lasting, sometimes with a slight fragrance. Flowers are yellow with small red spots or bars and a white lip. It is our experience that plants can bloom indefinitely from the same spike, which branches as it grows, becoming better each year. Our large alba plant, shown in the photo, bloomed continuously for over five years from a single spike, starting when it was still a seedling. The plants that are for sale are the standard pigmented color form, blooming size or near blooming size. Fun species to grow since it provides flowers year round.
